Check the relay configuration on the security menu. MDaemon has excellent logs and everything will be logged. Check the SMTP IN log for details.

I have a T1 line connected to a Netopia T1 router 4522. Then from there we go to a Barracuda web filter. From the web filter we go to an internal network of 192.168.1.0. I have set up my public IP to point to my MDAEMON server via ports 80, 110 and 25. Ports 80 and 110 are working great. Webmail is working on port 80 and POP3 is working great on port 110. Port 25 is giving me a problem. If I set up Outlook at home with my credentials I can connect to POP3 and get my emails. The problem is sending. I am getting a TIMEOUT error to port 25. I even set up Outlook with the MY SERVER REQUIRES AUTHENTICATION. I feel that for some reason the port 25 isn't being passed to the internal MDAEMON server or it is and the MDAEMON server isn't handling it correctly. I have set up the IP address of the mail server in the Barracuda to be exempt from any rules also.

Are you sure that your mail provider is using port 25 for sending mail? I had an issue where my ISP started blocking port 25 for sending mail (the ISP was apparently having issues with people using the ISP to send SPAM) so my mail provider had to change the port used for sending mail, just a thought.
Do you have multiple public IP addresses available? Your barracuda is likely receiving mail on port 25 of your public IP address currently in use, but in order for you to configure your outlook at home, you need to type in the IP address or hostname for your MDAEMON server. If your barracuda and your MDAEMON server are both listening on the same port (25) of the same public IP address, you will not be able to do SMTP to your MDAEMON server from your outlook client. I would suggest configuring a second IP address to use NAT to translate to the internal IP address of your MDAEMON server. Then input that IP address, or a hostname that resolves to that IP address into outlook for the smtp server.

(1) Is your homepc firewall setup to allow outbound traffic on Port 25?
(2) Many ISP's may block home users from sending out on Port 25 due to the prevalence of malware that uses this port. One way round this is to not use Port 25 from your home pc, setup Outlook to use Port 2525 (say) instead - this is on the Servers, SMTP setup tab. At Mdaemon you need to configure it to listen out for traffic on Port 2525 which is in the Setup, Default Domain & Servers, Ports section. You will also need to setup your firewall etc for this port.
I hope that Mdaemon has been setup to only accept logins from remote pc's when properly authenticated - otherwise there will be a mail relay problem.
