Outlook downloading emails again

Asked by asgcadmin in Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3), Mdaemon

Tags: Microsoft Outlook 2003, Mdaemon

We have a user who was confiured to download emails to Microsoft Outlook from MDaemon via pop3. We have also enabled leave a copy for the account so that the user can access his emails from the web interface from any place outside the office. Recently we reinstalled the machine after taking a backup of the .pst file and restored the .pst file to his Microsoft Outlook. Everything seems to be working fine, however all the emails that were already downloaded have started downloading again...obviously since the leave a copy option was enables earlier. Is there any way in which this dowload can be avoided without deleating his old emails from the server.

Thanx in advance

Melwyn
