Problems connecting to email server

Asked by jl_davis in Email Servers, Windows 2003 Server

Tags: server, connecting, error, problem

I'm running a Windows Server 2003 SP2 server at home, which controls the local domain (on which I have a few other pcs connected) and on which I have installed Merak Email Server.

I can connect to the email server fine from outside my home domain (ie. from work) but if I try to connect from within the domain, I receive the following error message.

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'myaccount.com', Server: 'myserver.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Additionally, I can telnet myserver.com 110 from work (ie. outside the home domain) but cannot from within the home domain.

Please help!
