Public folder and remove exchange 2003

I setup Exchange 2007 on a VMware server with the existing Exchange 2003. I have been testing it and ready to move all the mailboxes to the new mail server Exchange 2007.

I just want to make sure I am not missing anything

Once I move all the mailboxes, I will direct the emails to the new server

I am not clear about OAB and Public folder
Right now the public folder is replicated and to the Exchange 2007 server. But whenever I try to

Access the public folder from the Exchange 2007, it says not connected and connects to the Exchange 2003 server then I see the public folder. (Is there anything I need to do with the public folders before I switch over the Exchange 2007 server?)

How do I make sure I have all OABs and Public folders are on Exchange 2007?

Is there any time limit to remove the Exchange 2003? Right way after the move or it does not matter.

I do appreciate your feedback

Thank you.
