Forwarding mail to the same domain, different box.

I have redundancy built into a client's mail servers.

MX record 1 is a barracuda spam filter
MX record 2 is a mail server.

The barracuda forwards mail to the cilent's exchange server, which purposefully doesn't have any MX records to cut down on spam. Moreover, the client's firewall has been configured to accept mail (port 25) only from our Barracuda's address.

This works very well. My problem is the alternate mx records. If for whatever reason our connection goes down, mail will roll over (spam included) to the secondary mx record server.

My question is, how do I automatically forward mail from the secondary server to the barracuda so that we can ensure they are being filtered? If I forward mail to "sameperson@samedomain.com" it just copies itself into the same folder it was in because that second server thinks domain.com lives on it's own box.
