How to Inject old queued mail into new queue

Asked by motosf in Qmail Email Server

Tags: qmail, qmail

I had 80000+ email built up in a queue.  I shutdown qmail and copied the queue elsewhere (to preserve it), and created a new queue.

Is it possible to drag and drop messages from the old non-used queue back into /var/qmail/queue/mess?
If so, any potential gotchas to be aware of?

Can I do that by itself to inject the old messages or do I also need to be concerned with the files in:  info, local, & remote as well?  My understanding of the entire queue isn't up to par ... my apologies.

Thanks,
