connection refued by [127.0.0.1] after using mmsmtpd

Hi,

I installed Sophos Mailmonitor for SMTP on Debian woody. It should redirect mails to port 24 (services: localsmtp 24/tcp; inetd.conf: localsmtp stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/sendmail sendmail -bs -om).

It's a new system, just installed (sendmail 8.12). It worked properly on the old system.

Sendmail as daemon works really fine. But invoked by inetd the mailq produces strange output:
Deferred: Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]

Do you know what the problem is?
