Sending email from my website using PHP

I have a website that take the customer input (name, email, phone number, comments) and this page must send an email to both the customer (input email - any type) and the website administrator as well with the other information.

How can I do that in PHP. I found some codes but it does not send emails & I am not that familiar with PHP. I need your support with codes please.

This will not work in your local webserver in your computer unless an smtp server is installed.

Are you sure authentication is required? If not, try using the standard mail() function:

$result = @mail($to,$subject,$body,'From: '.$from);
if($result)
  echo 'mail() succeded!';
else
  echo 'mail() failed!';

I can not se anything wrong with your code. If it seems to send from PHP, but you don't receive the email, the error can be somewhere else. Ask your service provider for help.

i did it without authentication & the php script sent the email (as per the code) but I still did not receive the email in my gmail inbox. It seems to be a problem form the server side not in my code I guess.

If you have no other clue; let me know to close this. I apprecaite your help.

No, it seems the problem is after the email leaves the script. mail() would return false if it failed to send.
