Duplicate emails in Exchange/Outlook 2003

Hello,
Using Exchange 2003 in a 2003 AD environment:
Having issue with users stating that they are receiving a large number of duplicate emails in Outlook.
Could you put me on the right track as to where to start looking?
Exchange/Outlook etc...

Do you have filelevel AV on exchange?

You need to identify where the duplication is taking place.
Is it occurring before or after delivery to your server.
Is it just external email, or are internal messages affected as well.

The most common cause is interference in the SMTP traffic flow from AV/Antispam/Firewall. The message is not reported as being delivered correctly, and the sending server sends it again.
