Group Policy Folder Redirection does not work

We are currently trying to enable folder redirection. We use folder redirections for several departments and we are trying to enable it for a new department. We have set up the new OU with the linked GPO and have configured this in the same way we configure the GPOs for other centres. We only redirect Documents and Desktops. Both documents and desktops redirect to a shared folder on a specific file server for each department.

We have been as of yet unable to figure out why the folder redirection will not apply.

We apply GPOs through inheritance. There is a master GPO which applies restrictions etc to accounts and then there is a local GPO for each department which applies specific desktop backgrounds, styles etc.

Both the local and master GPO are enforced and link enabled.

Can anyone help with this?
