Domain Controller Best Practices

I have several clients that have 30-50 users that have one Windows 2003 Exchange Server and one 2003 Terminal Server.  Now, I understand that Microsoft doesn't recommend promoting a terminal server or an exchange server to a DC but what do you folks out there in the real world do for small organizations?  Do you buy a 3rd server just to have it barely used as a DC?  Do you dcpromo the exchange server, or the TS server, maybe both for some redundancy???  Trying to find a sensible solution that I can feel good about... appreciate your advice.Start Free Trial
