Change Active Directory Domain Name

Windows 2003 SP2. 6 member servers, 2 DC, Single site. Domain functional level set to 2003.

I would like to change the domain name of my active directory domain. The existing one is the same as a internet domain and is causing problems.

I have read that this process can be quite complex and would like to receive some recommendations on how to go about it. I know there is a migration tool and documentation from MS, but I would like to get additional input. I was told I could also use ADMT to do it, migrate from one server to new DC.
