We had a Windows 2000 DC that was the FSMO master. There were 3 other 2003 domain controllers on the network. One locally and 2 in other sites, same domain. With out much thought it got upgraded to windows 2003 server. The network had already had adprep run, so that shouldn't have been an issue. The upgrade blew up during a service pack, and because of time constraints the system was snapshot restored and upgraded again. It worked this time, but it screwed AD and replication.
Current status. This system was DCPROMO and removed as a domain controller. The FSMO roles moved fine, but we still seem to be having some issues with replication.
