The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. WSUS 3 clients are showing the wrong ip address after changing subnet?

Hi Experts,

Let me take a minute to describe my network.  I have three Windows 2003 servers, one is an Exchange 2003 server and the other two are Domain Controllers.  The Exchange server is also running WSUS.  All clients are Windows xp and 2000.  About two months ago I changed my subnet from 192.168.1.x to 10.0.254.x.  I made this change so I could get my vpn to work (another story).  Yesterday I opened the wsus mmc and noticed that the ip address for my main DC and my Exchange/WSUS server was still in the 192.168.1.x range.  All wss had the correct ip address.  I deleted both hoping that would fix the problem.  It did not.  The Exchange/WSUS server showed back up with the same wrong ip address and my main DC never showed back up.  How can I fix this problem?
