Can a Parent and a Child Domain use the same AD?

Asked by FOTC in Active Directory, Windows Networking, Windows 2003 Server

I need to set up another domain inhouse. we don't have a large network. But i need to set up another domain.

is it possible for this domain to use the same active directory as the parent? i want the users to be able to log into this machine by means of the same username and password. I thought this was possible, but i haven't messed with this in quite some time.

Using Server 2003

right now, all the users are in the parent domain. I just created the child domain and haven't done anything with it. I can do pretty much anything if needed. Start Free Trial
