The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. gpupdate /force won't update computer policy, only user.

I added a GPO to disable the windows firewall on all my clients, and when I run a gpupdate /force from any client machine, it gives this error

Updating Policy...

User Policy update has completed successfully.
Computer policy could not be updated successfully. The following errors were enc
ountered:

The processing of Group Policy failed because of lack of network connectivity to
 a domain controller. This may be a transient condition. A success message would
 be generated once the machine gets connected to the domain controller and Group
 Policy has succesfully processed. If you do not see a success message for sever
al hours, then contact your administrator.

To diagnose the failure, review the event log or invoke gpmc.msc to access infor
