The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Set up multiple trees in the same forest with different name space

Hello Experts,
This company Im working with is going to be splitting off into two different companies.  For the sake of description I will call them corp1 and corp2 however they ARE NOT the same corporation.  Corp 2 will be using resources provided by corp1.  Corp 1 will essentially be a provider for all of corp 2s technology needs.  The relationship between these two companies is close yet at the same time at arms length.
I initially proposed that corp 2 would become a child domain of corp 1.  Corp2 would connect to corp1 via VPN tunnel and use thin clients in terminal services to access resources.  When I explained that corp 2 would be logging into a subdomain of corp 1 management didnt care for it at all.  They want corp2 employees to be unaware they are in-effect logging into corp 1 in anyway.

Ill also add this into the mix.  There is a exchange server within corp1 that would like to receive mail for corp2.  Currently the corp1 exchange server receives mail for two domains.  The other domain logs into corp1.com but receives email for a different domain.
How can this be accomplished?  I would like corp1.com and corp2.com to be within the same forest.
Some fairly detailed instructions would be helpful as I am trying to set this up virtually for testing purposes.
