Basic 2000 to 2003 upgrade

I'm looking to do a basic upgrade from Windows Server 2000 SP4 to Server 2003 and have a few questions.  I want to basically slap 2003 on top of what I already have and keep all my programs, AD, etc. intact.  Is it that easy?

I have 5.36 GB of free space on that drive that Windows currently resides.  Is that enough?

Is this what I need?

The server is a Domain Controller and is the only server at the location.  Exchange is not installed on the server.  Will all my settings in AD stay intact?

I checked http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;325379.  Can I run forestprep and domainprep during production hours?  Will it require a reboot?

After the adprep commands have been run am I good to go from the CD?

Thanks in advance for the help.
