Are manual DNS entries eligible for aging

Asked by Potashcorp2 in Active Directory, Domain Name Service (DNS)

I am retiring a badly configured DNS zone and would like to populate the proper DNS zone with the A records. If I use dnscmd to add the records are they eligible for aging (scavenging) or will they be permanent?
I could use ipconfig to re-register each machine in the domain but that would take considerably longer and will definitely miss some mobile machines.Start Free Trial
