adding users in one domain to groups in another

FINALLY, I was able to set up an external trust between two separate forests. Thanks to all your help, BTW.

My problem now is I need to (it seems like a simple issue, but it's not) add a user in one domain to a global group in another. The catch 22 seems to be that domains users in external trusts can only be added to local groups in the other domain. The problem is that local groups can't be added to global groups, and external trust domain users can't be added to global groups.

It seems so simple: I want joeblow@domain1.com to be a member of the domain admins group of domain2. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it, since all the group membership rules work totally against this.
