PCs are randomly dropping off the domain and preventing user logon

Hi All,

I'm having an issue at a client where users are starting to have trouble logging on.  When they try, they get a message saying that "the COMPANY domain is not available".  I can fix the issue by logging on with a local admin account, taking the PC off the domain, and then adding it back on.  Once it has been re-added, any domain account can log on as usual.

In the last two weeks, I've had this happen twice on one PC and once on another.  Both systems are reletively new (less than a month old) HP dx2300's running XP SP2.  The domain environment is mixed Windows Server 2003 and 2000.

Any ideas as to a root cause?Start Free Trial
