we have a fairly large domain that contains an empty root domain and multiple child domains . . . example:
root.local
child1.root.local
child2.root.local
etc . .
there are about 10 child domains and when we were in 2000 native mode, using WINS, were able to see all child domains/computers in network places . . . when we switched to 2003 native mode and removed WINS, we see some of the child domains from the root domains, but not all and in the child domains, we see some, including the root domain, but not all . . . all child domains are on routed subnets (in different locations as well) . . . i thought that once switched to 2003 native mode that the computer browser service used DNS for population instead of WINS . . . what is the proper way (without using WINS) to ensure all "network places" can see all parent-domain/child-domain
/computer objects ????
