Question

How do I check user account is used to that domain-joined machine

Hi

I would like to know whether I can check the machine which joined into domain already by what the username is used.

For example in my ADUC console, I've seen a few machines listed in Computer container. It is a computer name called XPPC001. I like to know that who the user join this machine into domain.

It can't be done retrospectivly - If yo need to do this you can enable auditing for future events.

In ADUC right click the computer and try to manage it.
Then look in the event logs for information of when it joined the domain. You should see the authorized user there.

Depending on what event log size is configured and how long the event was created....you may or many not find it.
If you want to monitor and continue to monitor these types of events, I suggest you use other product like SCOM or get a 3rd party product such as Active Administrator where you can get email alerts etc to all these types of events or save them in a log for futrue reference.

Thanks for you guys response. I think it wasn't an easy solution to find out since I believe it is the design and no way to check.

I figure it out myself in a way of using ADSIEDIT, see the computer object's security tab inside, you will see the UPN of domain user in the list. If you see that domain user account, I interpret that domain-joined computer using that user account.
