Simple, perfect response to my issue
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsWe had a Win2k3 domain controller die on us...promoted a secondary DC but found it had a ton of replication errors. Needless to say I inherited a mess from the previous group. Had to restore the syslog/netlogon directories for our domain to even come up. Since then I have installed a fresh Win2k8 R2 server and promoted it. Everything is running great except that for when I try to access the Default Domain Controllers and Default Domain policies through the GPM console it states it cannot find the file specified. Tried running a dcdiag fix with no luck, the previous crew also didn't validate that they had good backups so restoring is not an option. Any clue on how to recreate these policies without hosing anything?
Any help is much appreciated!
