I'm trying to get some information on how I can do two things with Java: (Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP clients only.)<br />

1. Deploy Java via Group Policy<br />
2. Disable Java updates on all clients, disable tray notifications on all clients<br />
3. Determine what will happen if I deploy java via group policy and a previous version exists on a client.<br />

Deploy Java via GPO

Java is a platform-independent, object-oriented programming language and run-time environment, designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible such that developers can write one set of code across all platforms using libraries. Most devices will not run Java natively, and require a run-time component to be installed in order to execute a Java program.
