XP/Server 2003 network losing connection

I have two different issues that appear to be related. First off, I have 3 Windows XP SP2 workstations and a Windows 2000 SP4 workstation connecting to a Windows 2003 Standard SP2 server. The server was recently rebuilt with new hardware. I set it up with RAID1 drives--2 software RAID1 drives and 2 hardware RAID1 drives. There are also 4 non-RAID drives used for other purposes.

When I try to transfer large amounts of data (1-2 GB) in a single move, the workstation sending the data shows "connection to server lost" with the computer icon in the notification area (workstations synced to server normally), and all of the mapped drives to the server are lost. Exchange will still connect and web browsing continues to operate; however, I am unable to reconnect to the network drives without rebooting that PC.

The second part, I believe, is directly related. When I'm using any sort of program (IRC, FTP, Limewire, etc.) to upload/download where a connection is sustained for long periods of time to the network drive that is sending or receiving the file, the connecting PC will lose its network drives and be unable to reconnect. I have to then reboot the PC to regain connectivity.

The drives are mapped using a logon script. This configuration was working previously in an identical network--I simply rebuilt the server. This required me to rejoin the PCs to the domain. The problems started after all of that. What could be the cause for this problem, and why is it all of a sudden happening after I rebuilt the server? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am unable to send or receive my data to my work PC through FTP until I get this resolved.
