ftp problem at data download time (filezilla, passive mode)

Zones: FTP Servers, Computer Servers, File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

I have a ftp server running filezilla 0.9.23
It is located in my private little network
I am connected to Internet with ADSL
I have configured the router to forward incoming traffic on port range 2121->2199 to the server
2121 is the listening port on the server
2122->2199 is the range for passive mode
One of my program (at customer site, somewhere else) connects to the server to download some files
This was working fine until ... a couple of days ago
I think something changed at my side, but what ?
If the customer runs IE or firefox and tries ftp:// etc... to my server it works fine and he can download
But my application can't
I see in the filezilla log that he connects, but then nothing until timeout
I wonder what the difference is between IE which succeed and my program that does not !

Do you have any firewalls (actually anything that could be performance "smart" NAT or port mapping) between the FTP server and the Internet?
