FTP Connection problem on one computer, works on all others

Asked by Mahdii7 in FTP Servers, FTP Software, File Transfer Protocol (FTP)

Tags: Can't read from control socket. Socket error = #10060.

At our small office we have 5 computers, connected to a Linksys wireless router. I have been connecting to FTP accounts on one of the PCs for months now, with no issues. Recently, I had a problem connecting in Dreamweaver, which lead me to believe the server was down. I tried uploading on the other computers, and things went through just fine. The server is up, and functional. I can connect to SSH (Port 22) to the same server which I was having problems with, so I have since tried several public FTP accounts to verify the problem was universal. I have tried swapping the wireless adapter, forwarding forts 20-21 on the router, as well as several different FTP clients with no luck. It can't be a router problem, it can't be a server problem, and it can't be a wireless adapter problem. I have also looked for any known firewalls on this desktop, and they are all disabled. Here is the detailed error message from CuteFTP (tried with and without Passive mode)

Edit: Forgot to mention, this is a Vista computer.. It was vista 2 weeks ago when FTP was working as well though, so don't know if that makes any difference or not! I'm losing my mind here.
