I have a Windows 2003 server, that is used for various applications (SQL, Exchange, Webserver) including
FTP. I tried accessing our FTP site this morning and I am unable to connect, so I checked the server and the FTP Service has stopped. When I try to start the FTP site in IIS I get the error message "Unexpected error 0x8ffe2740 occured" The event log has the following message:

I'm not sure when this started happening, I last used the FTP site a month ago and it appeared to be working fine. As far as I know, nothing has changed. I have tried rebooting the server and the error still occurs after the reboot. Any ideas on what is causing this error or where to start looking?
