Uninstall/disable Novell client using Group Policy - NOVELL FORUMS

We are migrating from Netware to Windows Active Directory and all machines are XP - most running 4.90 or 4.91 netware clients.

Is there any easy way to uninstall or disable the Netware client using Group Policy in AD so we don't have to manually go around to everyone's computer and uninstall the client?

Rather than using AD GPO, use the ACU: http://support.novell.com/docs/Tids/Solutions/10097140.html

AD GPO deployment/undeployment are dependent on applications having an MSI installer.  The Novell Client doesn't use an MSI installer, it uses nwsetup.exe.

You can uninstall the client silently from a startup script:

Or you could just set the Gina to MSGINA.DLL:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

GinaDLL=MSGINA.DLL
That will take your initial login to the Microsoft Login. If you then also remove the following keys you'll get rid of most Novell property pages and context menu items:
