Ubuntu 7.04 running Samba and an XP Pro PC running Access 2000.
I can see the Ubuntu/Samba shared folder on the network with the MsAccess database in it from the PC. If I try to open it from the XP pc: "Security warning. Do you want to open this file?...."
Click OK, then: "Microsoft Access cannot open this file.
This file is located outside your intranet ot on an untrusted site......"
How can I get these mdb files to open on the PC? It is a small isolated network that requires no security.
I'm thinking that it looks like XP is stopping it. I've tried to setup Samba to be wide open.
(I can move Excel files from the XP box to the Samba box, open them, delete them etc.)
Any easy way around this?
