Samba + ldap windows login error

Hello everyone,

I am currently using samba as my PDC with a ldap backend for user names and password storage. I can add a machine to the samba PDC with no problem.

After joining the domain, i am asked to restart the PC before any changes will take affect. After restarting I am presented with the windows log on screen. My domain is listed. When I try logging onto my domain with a user that is populated in the ldap directory I get the following error.

"The system cannot log you on due to the following error: The system cannot find message text for message number 0x%1 in the message file for %2"

The strange thing about this is if I enter a user name which exists within the directory, and I enter a incorrect password, I get the message
"The system cannot log you on make sure your username and domain are correct....."

From reading this message I am positive that my credentials are being authenticated. But when I enter the correct user name and password, I get the strange error message.

I have tried googling, but have not found a relevant source that can assist me.

Would someone know what the cause of this is, and how to fix this strange problem?
