The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Hi guys hope u r well and can help.

Ive setup samba on my linux box.
I wish to access a share that I have created called 'www'.
This is actually the /var/www, with share name being 'www'.

Here is my smb.conf file for this share, but im still having no luck and would love your help.

------------------------------------------------- smb.conf snippet.

    283         comment = Dump Here
    284         path = /dump

  286 [www]
    287         comment = Dump WWW
    288         path = /var/www
    289         read only = no
    290         writable = yes
    291         printable = no
    292         valid users = root rhuser
    293         browseable = yes
    294         create mask = 777
    295         guest ok = yes

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The dump share I can access, but the www share I cannot.

Any help greatly appreciated.
