If umount -f does not resolve the problem, you could also try (as root):
stopsrc -g nfs
...wait about a minute...
startsrc -g nfs
This will stop all nfs services to all other NFS hosts.
If you do not wish to stop NFS, there is no real harm leaving the "stale" NFS filesystem mounted.
If stopping and restarting NFS does not resolve the problem, you may have no choice but to reboot
the client, if you absolutely need to free the NFS mount point.
