We would like to begin deploying nfsv4 in a mixed Linux, Solaris, Tru64, and VMS environment that uses NIS to serve autmount maps. Therefore, some clients support nfsv4 while some can only do nfsv3. We currently have a server setup that exports filesystems both over nfsv3 and nfsv4, and can manually mount these filesystems using nfsv4 from clients that support it and nfsv3 from clients that do not. However, we have not yet been able to setup AMD so that nfsv4 clients use nfsv4 while nfsv3 clients use nfsv3.
Has anyone setup AMD as described in a mixed nfsv3 and nfsv4 environment? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
