The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Files in user home folder not viewable from file server, but can be seen when browsing to the folder by unc path name

I have a windows 2003 file server that is being used to host all the home folders for users on my domain.  I am unable to see any files in one of these folders when i browse to it through windows explorer on the file server and the properties of the folder show it to be empty, however if I browse to the folder by the unc name (\\server\share) I can see all the files in the folder.

I am using the same user account in both scenarios; the permissions are set correctly.  What could I be overlooking?Start Free Trial
