How to prevent user to copy file or folder from Network drive.

Hello experts, i need to know that , how to prevent user to copy from network drive but they can acces files and folder read only mode. in windows 2000 Advanced server

You can't. Once the user can read the content, he can also copy it. Take for example this:
You open a word document - the whole documents loads into memory. Then the user can just "Save-As" to a different location and that's it..

is there any alternet solution for that,

will apache web based services good for this, my data file on network is only PDF files.

user can read but cant copy it to local computer. or any facilities in Adobe pdf that disable save function in application ?

PDF has security abilities that can disable the "Save As" functionality - but it can't prevent the file from being copied.
Even with apache, the file will be transferred to the client computer..  It can always be copied. The only way to to something like you (but still can't guarantee 100%) is to encrypt the files, and then develop a browser extension that can decrypt it on the fly and display it on the browser.

You will need adobe Acrobat to edit the PDF and set the security level, or you can use an external program like this one:
