nfs error "kernel: svc: unknown version (4)" -- what is it and how do i fix it?

I am getting the following error in my /var/log/messages:
kernel: svc: unknown version (4)

The server getting this error is one node of a two node nfs cluster runnning Redhat ES3.8.  The other node is not logging this message even when it is exporting NFS to clients.

What exactly does the message mean?  And what should I do to fix?
