SCCM - is a configuration and patch management system for Windows OS's.

SCOM - is a cross platform (Windows and Unix/Linux) performance/health monitoring system.

If you want to audit what versions of software and patches a Windows OS has on it, SCCM.

Thanks this was very helpful.

currently we use Zabbix for system monitoring which i assume it is similar to SCOM from what you have explain.

What we need is a centralized location to Audit Object access files, folders on servers and client computers. does any of these to system cover that? and do you other suggestions?
