I recently renews my wildcard ssl certificate form GoDaddy, adn am attempting to install it on the webserver in question. I have moved the .crt file to the correct location, and then restarted apache. However, we a user connects to that server, it still loads the old certificate, and says that the cert has expired. I have checked that the path location is correct in the configs, that the cert is naed the same as te previous one. I am also seing this error in the logs for apache:
[warn] RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `*.mydomain.net' does NOT match server name!
I thought that was the value of wildcard certs is that the server name does not have to match the hostname, only the domain information needs to be the same, which it is.
