Dear Experts,
I'm having problems with our ISA 2004 firewall. One of the servers on the network has EasyPHP installed. That particular server has both internal and external IP address on it. From time to time we need to generate a report and what we do, is, type in the external IP of the server with the path to the file and that launches the page that will allow us to select options for the report query. All together 6 different fields with various options.
I tried to sibmit a report with very few options selected, then it works, however larger reports take a little while and then times out with the following message:
Error code 1460: Timeout
Background: The gateway could not receive a timely response from the website you are trying to access, a DNS server, or another gateway server. This might indicate that the network is congested or that the website is experiencing technical difficulties.
Date: 3/13/2008 1:09:00 AM
Server: server.domain.com
Source: Firewall
I changed various settings in (time out, upload, max file size etc) the PHP.INI and HTTP.CONF files but still having issues with the firewall.
Is there an option in ISA 2004 that would alllow to extend the time out? I couldn't find it. I temporarily disabled some of the filters but still receiving the same error. The only other option in ISA that I found was Limit the Number of connections in General>Define Connection Limits, I disabled it temporarily and still no luck.
I think a part of the problem is in the way ISA itself is setup. First of all ISA has only SP1and it is on the same server as AD and Exchange. Updating ISA to SP3 is currently not an option b/c it will crash ISA.
I wil move ISA to a separate server and then will install SP3 within the next week or two.
I understand that there are not a lot of details about the script, however I am not familiar with PHP.
I don't exactly undestand how that script connects to another external IP address somewhere else in the world, that second PC with the external IP address then generates a report which now is being pusshed to one other PC within our LAN...
I will try to get more details about it.
As I mentioned I did enhance the upload, file size and time out settings withtin PHP.INI and Apache conf files and I think the issue now is with our firewall.
Besides tweaking the file settings, I restarted the firewall service, restarted the server with PHP script on it a few times, to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
