Hi,

I've run into a very bizarre problem. I'm trying to set up password authentication on some of the subdirectories in my website, but the authentication is only called when I'm trying to access the subdirectory directly, or if I'm trying to access a .html file under that directory. If I access a jsp file under the password protected directory, the jsp file is immediately displayed with no authentication.

For example:
https://teska.virtual.vps-host.net/sandbox1/ (password authentication popup appears)
https://teska.virtual.vps-host.net/sandbox1/index.html (password authentication popup appears)
https://teska.virtual.vps-host.net/sandbox1/date.jsp (No password authentication popup appears)

I can't begin to figure out why this might be. Has anyone run across this before?

I've got the following in the .htaccess file stored under the sandbox1 directory:

DirectoryIndex index.php index.jsp
AuthType Basic
AuthName "Sandbox1"
require valid-user
AuthUserFile "/home/webadmin/.htpasswds/teska.net.sandbox1"

I have the following in the teska.net.sandbox1 file stored in the /home/webadmin/.htpasswds/ directory:
courtenayt:*************** (Where :*************** represents the password).

Please let me know if there is any more info you need me to provide.
