The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Permission problems using apache with openssl

I am getting the following when trying to access my site using https://.

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apache/2.2.8 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.2.4-2ubuntu5.1 with Suhosin-Patch mod_ssl/2.2.8 OpenSSL/0.9.8g Server at dev.www.mysite.co.za Port 443

I've installed openssl (using sudo aptitude install openssl) and followed this tutorial.

After that i added these lines to my "/sites-available/default" file and made sure port 443 is listened to in ports.conf. I also copied my development certificate to the "etc/ssl" folders.

SSLEngine on
SSLOptions +FakeBasicAuth +ExportCertData +StrictRequire
SSLCertificateFile /etc/ssl/certs/server_crt.pem
SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/ssl/private/server_key.pem

My default file has "NameVirtualHost *" and each site has it's own config file using "192.168.1.xxx:80".

Can anyone please tell me what i'm missing?
