Apache has stopped working

Asked by deafpanda in Apache Web Server

Tags: , ,

Hi,

Apache was working fine until today.  I'm using XAMPP, latest version.  When I start the XAMPP control panel and try to start apache, it says:

busy...
Apache started [port 80].

However, Apache hasn't started, and the start option is still there (if it was running the button would say 'stop').

The only thing that's changed since yesterday is that I have downloaded the files from a friend's website into a new folder in the htdocs folder of xampp.  I can't see why this would have stopped Apache from working?

Any help gratefully received.Start Free Trial
