php with big data and apache

Hi that i s my question
and some of php expert told me maybe memory and i must check apache log is there something to do with apache configuration
my problem:
we have a php mysql application in our network for timesheet..
in the main menu we have reports and one of the option we can view all projects costs and these will be displayed from bigger to smaller ..
when i put two dates (ex:from 01/01/2004 to 31/12/2005) i can see data but if i put from 01/01/2004 to 31/07/2008 nothing is displayed ..and there is data when i query it ex:from 01/01/2008 to 31/07/2008 i dont know why may be the browser cannot hold the big data or php mysql cannot hold a big data..
