Also, if that doesn't work - make sure you place the fully qualified domain name that you placed in httpd.conf (just the FQND - ex server.company.com) - place it into your /etc/hosts file.

I am getting the following error when I start my webserver with the following command
/usr/sbin/apachectl -k start
httpd: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for-
httpd: could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
Can you please help?

You just need to set valid DNS name in httpd.conf of your Apache:

ServerName server.company.com:80
==========
If your host doesn't have a registered DNS name, enter its IP address instead.
