Question

Apache 2.2.10 and Tomcat 6.0.20 SSL configuration Issue

Asked by: rks_86

Hi All,

I have issues with Apache 2.2.10 and Tomcat 6.0.20 SSl configuration. Though I was able to make the start page SSL config but its not able to port forward it correctly to Tomcat.

I heard there are some new settings have come to Apache and Apache is no more bundling SSL module and few old type ssl configurations are depricated and not supported. Can somebody give me detailed new settings steps to configure Apache2.2.10 with Tomcat 6.0.20.

Port forwarding works in non-ssl env. I have done SSL in Apache old versions but I dont know is there anything new in Apache2.2.10 or need to add something to Tomcat server.xml file to make it working.

Thanks.

Do you have a JkMount in both your Apache HTTP and HTTPS virtual hosts?

If you do is it the same mount or a different one?

If different what's in your workers.properties?

Have you specified a secure parameter in you workers.properties?

by: rks_86Posted on 2009-10-30 at 15:51:07ID: 25707269

Below are the deatils of my ssl.conf and workers.properties please let me know what i need to add or delete for https to work properly.

Stick a "JkMountCopy On" in your SSL virtualhost def and restart apache e.g.

<VirtualHost mvpl113ap83.eqnet.com:443>
   JkMountCopy On

See: http://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/reference/apache.html
