To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating. - The Grade of the Solution
- The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
- The Number of Author and Expert Comments
- The Number of Experts Contributing
- The Feedback of the Community
Your Input Matters Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. My clients .htaccess file all of sudden stopped working and my 404 and 500 error pages have all of sudden stop working. I haven't touched/edited this file in months and the last updated date on the remote is the same on my local machine. They only have a couple of basic commands.
DirectoryIndex index.html index.htm index.php default.htm default.html index.phtml index.asp
ErrorDocument 404 /404error.asp
ErrorDocument 500 /500error.asp
Not sure if this is a factor but the only thing that I know that has changed in the recent months was the password log-in. The client requested this from the hosting provider.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
