High traffic website - Dedicated server high CPU usage (cpanel/whm)

Hi!

First of all, sorry for my bad english.
I have a dedicated server:
2x Intel Quad Core E5504
16GB DDR3
CentOS 5 (64bit)
(fcgi)
Bandwidth (100Mbps Unmetered)

and my wordpress based website is slown down if there are more than 2500-2700 online user. I have 100K - 150K unique visitor/day.

How can i make my server faster? (I never had dedicated server before)

Thank you all for the help! I rebuilt apache and now i use wordpress quick cache and looks everything is ok. Tested with more than 6000 online user :) . and special thanks to hankknight for the my.cnf! :)
