Destroy Session Variable on window closed

I know how to destroy session variables but am encountering some problems. Below is the description of the problem.

Description

I am trying to create a website but requires user to login if he access certain page. For simplicity sake, there are 3 links on my webpage.

Link1: Does not require login and will open the page once clicked.
Link2: Requires login.
Link3: Requires login.

This means if I click on the second link, a login page will appear. After successful login, I will then be brought to the link2 page. Since I have already logged in, a session variable defined by me will exist to indicate the user has logged in. This means if I click on the third link, I need not re-enter my login information and hence will be brought to the link3 page staight away.

Okay, now the problem arrives. I then closes all browser windows. Then I click on link2 but I am not prompted to enter my login information. This means the session variable still exist! How to detect that all browser windows are closed so that I will be able to place my code to destroy the session variable?

I know the above code will end a session but where to place this code so that once ALL browser windows are closed, the piece of code will execute?

You will most likely have to tie it into your code with the use of JavaScript. Create a function in the javascript that is called when you close the window.  In that javascript you could call another page in the backgound that has the CF code to kill the session variable.  Just a thought.

I have more than 1 .cfm files and they are all in different folders. Then in which onrequestend.cfm should I place the codes?

onrequestend.cfm works for all the folders and subfolders in an application...so u can place in ur main directory
